Homecharge EV Charge Installations

Our Homecharge installation package covers the majority of homes, we include the following:

  • The supply and installation of the EV Charge Unit onto a suitable external house wall.
  • We will supply and connect up to 10 meters of cable between the source of supply (consumer unit) to the charging unit
  • We will fix/clip the cable in place along the wall/structure.
  • We include drilling a hole through one wall in order to facilitate the cable route if required (up to 450mm thick).
  • Our standard installation package includes connection to a ‘spare way’ in the existing consumer unit.
  • On completion we will carry out a test of the installation and provide the appropriate NICEIC certification.

Please note:  The EV Charge point must be located in your designated off-street parking area, the EV charge lead must be within your property boundary and should not create a trip hazard.

Non-Standard Homecharge Installations:

We can provide our quotation for all non-standard works, including:

  • Installations above height of 1.5 metres*.
  • Fixing of the EV Charge Unit onto a permanent structure which is detached from the home.*
  • Cable length exceeds 10 metres between the electricity meter/consumer unit and the EV Charge Unit.*
  • The cable route is under floorboards/ceiling voids/wall cavities.*
  • Drilling into a hard surface for the installation of an earth rod.*
  • The supply and fitting of white plastic trunking for the concealing of cable.*
  • The excavation of a trench for the cable route if required*.
  • If required, we can provide an additional consumer unit consisting of the installation of a Type C MCB and a Type A RCD in an enclosure.*
